Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s 26th Bistro BGC

Las Saturday, I started my day early as I attended an event courtesy of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s (CBTL’s) Brew Your Best Year and Writers Block Ph’s Brew Your Best Food Feature Writing. It was held at CBTL’s 26th Bistro BGC. I am glad I did! I was not expecting a gastronomic adventure awaits.

To start off the appetizing event, we were served Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. It was an immediate hit for me! The perky-as-sunshine plating that greeted me made me try the starter in no time. No wonder it is a classic favorite! The lettuce are crisp and fresh, which I love and a personal must when it comes salad. I must say the grilled chicken was consistently cooked along with the boiled eggs and precisely garnished parmesan cheese.

Then, the Cheeseburger landed on our table. And giddily, it eventually landed on my mouth and tummy as well. Lol! Man, that big chunk of USDA beef got that authentic juicy flavor which was amped by the accompanying mozzarella and parmesan melt-in-your-mouth cheese. All these inside a perfectly prepared and textured wheat bun with crunchy, tasty fries as sidings. Ahhh what a combo for a dish!

The visually and oohh olfactory catching Seafood Marinara was served next. You know how pasta can either be too tomato flavored or too sweet? Well, I did not expect this tomato flavored pasta can just come in between! My taste buds says it landed on the middleground and I say the dish is a winner because of that. The prawns, scallops, and squid mixed with the noodles and sauce is fresh! I know it was cooked and prepared with a heart as the dish’s taste shows how evenly and generously the ingredients were combined together.

To cap off the brunch dining tales’ journey of the day : here comes the Herbed Salmon with Lemon Risotto and Hollandaise Sauce. Looking at the inviting creamy Hollandaise sauce pouring from the top of the Norweigan Salmon. It is as if its flavorful, tangy aroma is not captivating enough. It’s sophisticated taste made my taste buds and tummy thankful I digged into the dish.
I did not know 26th Bistro has a LOT to offer! They have a lot of premium dishes to try and I only sampled some. The dishes I tried are definitely worthy of a comeback. Not satisfied enough? Go gastronomically experience it for yourself.

I can’t imagine a better side for the Norwegian salmon than the lemon risotto. I can imagine how well the flavours compliment each other. I would go for that seafood marinara too, I love prawns and clams and the way you describe the taste of the tomato sauce makes me want to try it out.

Those are all sumptuous and indeed great to fill the stomach. Love the seafood marinara and the cheeseburger and the salad. I.think I love to try all. Of all the coffew.shops around, I love Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf the most. Love their tea and banana loaf. I remember I always buy one when I used to work in Ortigas.
